To our FAST family,

First and foremost we want to offer our condolences to anyone deeply affected by these uncertain times. We understand that this fight is not only a physical one, but a psychological battle as well, and want to express our love and support for each one of you.

We are reaching out to update you all on FAST operations in the wake of the global coronavirus outbreak. In accordance with University protocols to mitigate the spread of the virus, and keep our at risk friends safe, all FAST operations are being suspended. Beginning Fall semester, all FAST operations will continue in normalcy, and all projects for “Resistance” will be continued. If you are a returning student next semester your position in FAST will be kept for you and the recruiting process will not need to be repeated. Please contact the head of your respective teams before April 1st about your decision to continue.

The FAST DECAL will remain operational virtually. While it is not feasible to expect our decal designers to physically produce, we want to ensure you are still able to use the units many of you need from the decal. Please check your email as your team will send out information regarding final assignments and grades. You will not be guaranteed a design position through the decal for units next Fall, but we encourage you to continue to work independently on your looks so that we can showcase your hard work through various shoot projects and runway. Again, please contact your design head regarding the continuation of “Resistance” projects, and your work.

It is with heavy hearts that we make this decision, as we know how much this creative space means for so many people, and how hard everyone has continued to work despite growing concerns. Thank you all for your continued support and dedication of FAST. It is truly resistance at its finest.
